Special Education Paraprofessional

Job Description:
The paraprofessional will work closely with classroom teachers to assist with instructional
activities, provide individualized support for students, and help to provide an inclusive learning
environment.
Responsibilities:
? Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
? Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
? Provide one-on-one or small group support as directed by the teacher.
? Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.
? Support students with special needs or accommodations as outlined in IEPs.
? Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, or other activities as needed.
? Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress and
needs.
Education/Certification:
? High school diploma or equivalent (required).
? Paraprofessional certification or associate degree (preferred).
