Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist students throughout the school day.
- Support teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities.
- Model appropriate behavior and responsible use of technology.
- Implement behavior management strategies and interventions.
- Complete required documentation and behavioral data collection accurately and timely.
- Provide instructional support under the direction of classroom teachers.
- Interact with students in a positive, supportive, and professional manner.
- Utilize approved de-escalation and intervention techniques when necessary.
- Maintain professional boundaries with students, families, and staff.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure continuous student supervision and maintain dependable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in educational, behavioral health, or special education settings.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform CPR and approved intervention techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively engage with students throughout the workday.
- Willingness to transport students in a company vehicle as needed.
- Ability to maintain consistent on-site attendance.
