Greenbush – The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional at the Special Purpose School, Parsons State Hospital.
Anticipated Start Date: 10/01/2025.
Job Summary: The Paraprofessional is responsible for providing instruction and support to Alternative day school students. The Paraprofessional aids teachers in data collection and record-keeping to ensure student outcomes are met, as well as compiling reports and other clerical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
A valid driver’s license is required for employment. REAL ID is required if air travel is necessary to complete job duties.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be in good standing with partnering district(s) where the program is located.
Preferred:
Experience in special education, behavior management, and data collection.
Effectively communicate solutions to complex problems.

Maintain timely documentation.
Support the mission, goals, and objectives of the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center (SEKESC).
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate proficiency in the ability to effectively and regularly communicate with other employees of the SEKESC and constituents.
Complete all assignments in a timely manner including communication with other staff and families.
Follow all safety requirements as directed by the SEKESC.
Regular and predictive attendance in the designated work location as determined by the Executive Director designee.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.

Lifting to 40 pounds.

Sit/stand for long periods.

Ability to drive in varying weather and geographical conditions.
