Anticipated Elementary Special Education Resource Room Teacher

Position Type: Full-Time (Replacement Contract for remainder of 2026-2027 school year)

Start Date:  Open until filled (Anticipated November 2, 2026)

The Special Education Resource Room Teacher is a full-time position responsible for supporting students with social-emotional skill deficits through targeted instruction, behavior support, and general education teacher-designed curriculum to help students remain academically on track. The teacher manages a structured, short-term resource setting for students who have limited ability to participate in the general education environment, with the primary goal of building skills and accelerating successful reintegration into general education. This is a flexible program where student placement may range from several weeks to a semester, and in rare cases, a full school year. The teacher collaborates closely with general education staff to ensure students are served in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and are provided frequent opportunities to return to general education settings. When not assigned rostered students, the teacher serves as a special education behavior interventionist in general education classrooms, working alongside teachers and administration to model and implement effective behavior strategies and supports across grade levels.
