Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Special Education Teacher to join our Gurgaon campus in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will support students with diverse learning needs, employing evidence-based practices to develop and implement tailored education programs. You will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive environment and collaborating closely with families and school teams to ensure each student's progress and well-being.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in Special Education Needs (Mandatory skill): Proficient in identifying and adapting instructional methods for students with disabilities, ensuring inclusive learning environments.
  • Special Education Certification (Mandatory skill): Formal training and credentials in Special Education to effectively address a variety of educational challenges among students.
  • IEP Development (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs that meet each student’s unique learning objectives.
  • Extensive patience, empathy, and compassion: Capable of understanding students' emotional needs and adapting teaching strategies to support their growth.
  • Strong behavior management skills: Ability to proactively manage classroom behaviors and foster a respectful, positive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing Individualized Support Plans: Skilled in customizing educational approaches and interventions to maximize each learner’s strengths.
  • Effective parent communication abilities: Able to establish trust and keep families informed and engaged in their child's progress through regular updates and meetings.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams: Experienced in working closely with counselors, therapists, and regular educators to ensure seamless support for students.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families, students, and professionals to align educational strategies with specific learning needs.
  • Deliver direct instruction using evidence-based teaching techniques tailored to students’ abilities, strengths, and challenges in all academic and non-academic areas.
  • Monitor student progress, assess developmental milestones, and adjust instructional plans to ensure each child achieves measurable growth both academically and socially.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to classroom teachers and staff on inclusive practices, accommodations, and modifications for students with special needs.
  • Facilitate open communication with parents and guardians, offering resources, performing regular student updates, and involving families in educational planning.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and adhere to compliance standards and best practices in special education.
  • Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages respect, social interaction, and positive behavioral support strategies for all students.
  • Remain current with developments in special education methodologies, assistive technologies, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
