Special Education Teacher – United Staff Group
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
United Staff Group is hiring Special Education Teachers to support students in reaching their full academic potential. We are looking for passionate educators committed to fostering inclusive, engaging classrooms in alignment with Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver standards-based instruction using diverse teaching strategies.
Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials for varying student needs.
Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
Manage student behavior and maintain a safe, structured learning space.
Conduct formal and informal assessments to guide instruction.
Write, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school, state, and federal policies.
Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student progress.
Qualifications:
Valid PA Special Education Certification (PK-12, 9-12, or N-12).
Experience with special education preferred.
Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills.
Ability to develop lesson plans, use data to differentiate instruction, and participate in ongoing professional development.
