Special Education Teacher - (1.0 FTE) The Sudbury Public Schools, a prek-8 district, is seeking a skilled, experienced and dynamic special education teacher to work as a Special Educator at Israel Loring Elementary School. The special education teacher will work in a model of service delivery offering academic and behavioral support, co-teaching and inclusionary practices in general education classrooms combined with pull out instruction for small groups and individuals. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Plan for the effective instruction and intervention for students on IEPs; • Administer formal diagnostic assessment and tests for students initially referred and for three-year re-evaluations of caseload students; • Administer ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring and benchmark systems; • Schedule, prepare for, and attend Team meetings for newly referred and caseload students; • Write comprehensive progress reports; • Collaborate with general education staff with respect to appropriate accommodations and modifications; • Provide ongoing positive communication with parents; • Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals; • Other related duties as assigned.
