JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students in Grades 6-8. We are looking for a collaborative educator who is committed to individualized instruction, data-driven practices, and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This position specifically would focus on the following:
•Math Instruction: Develop and deliver highly differentiated, data-driven math instruction (grades 6-8) in pull-out and co-taught inclusion settings.
•IEP & Data Management: Serve as the special education liaison for students on their caseload, which would include writing and implementing IEPs with measurable academic and functional goals and rigorously tracking and reporting on student progress.
•Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Implement SEL instruction and function-based behavioral interventions to foster self-regulation, coping skills, and a positive, inclusive classroom culture.
•Collaboration: Collaborate/consult with faculty and staff to ensure students are receiving an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment and with accommodations as outlined in their IEP.
