Chandler School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements:
- Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement: Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities (All)
- Experience with IEP development and data collection
- Management skills that support students social emotional learning
- Classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction
- Provide direct instruction in the co-teach environment with modifications
- Provide direct instruction in the core content areas
- Familiarity with MA Curriculum Frameworks Access and Entry Points
- Complete MCAS Alternative Assessment Portfolios as necessary
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices
- Develop and implement student success plans as necessary
- Support skill development for Activities of Daily Living as necessary
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
