A successful candidate should be comfortable working as part of team and have strong oral and written communication skills. Appropriate DESE licensure in Moderate or Severe Special Needs is required. Candidates should have previous experience working with pre-school or elementary school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Restraint Training and three years of experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
Strong background in the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis
Performing discrete trials
Collecting and analyzing behavioral and academic data
Strong behavior management skills
Creating and maintaining student program books
Providing services in both inclusion and pull-out settings
Schedule integration time for students
Provide supervision to paraprofessionals
Coordinate schedules of paraprofessionals
Supporting social skills development
Differentiating instruction
Knowledge and use of ACE curriculum
Evaluating students using a variety of assessments (e.g. ABLL-S, VBMAPP, ACE)
Writing reports, goals, IEPs, and progress notes
