Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curricula and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess students' progress and modify instructional techniques to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, challenges, and strategies for support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, behavior, and progress towards IEP goals.
- Stay informed about best practices in special education and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of students with disabilities within the school community.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
