About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our classrooms are in secure residential program team, providing direct instruction and support to students. You’ll design and deliver strategies-based, IEP-driven instruction tailored to meet diverse learning needs in collaboration with site teams and families.

Key Responsibilities
· Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs in both individual and group settings
· Develop weekly service schedules in collaboration with your supervisor
· Create culturally responsive and trauma-informed classrooms that reflect student identities
· Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional plans
· Support social-emotional growth and transition planning
· Collaborate with host agency staff, families, and program colleagues to maximize student success
· Contribute to IEP planning, write progress reports, and attend team meetings
· Maintain accurate records, ensure testing compliance, and support a safe learning environment
Attend evening family events and cross-state meetings as needed.


What You Bring
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Valid MA license in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities (5–12) – Willing to accept waiver while working towards license
· Strong communication and organization skills
· Reliable transportation


Preferred:
· Master’s degree in education or related field
· Experience with high-risk youth
· Multilingual/multicultural background
· Some lifting up to 25 lbs, travel between floors, and physical movement between classrooms are required
· Must remain alert and responsive in a fast-paced, secure environment.
