Special Education Teacher

EMIT Learning is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work on our school campus in Monticello, MN, for the school year 2025-26 and for the upcoming school year Position Details

• Schedule: Monday – Friday | Standard School Hours
• Credential Required: Minnesota Special Education Certification

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate students with various disabilities, including speech and behavioral health needs.
• Utilize behavioral management techniques to promote positive classroom behavior and support social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support student progress.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to evaluate student learning and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education or relevant credentials for working with children with disabilities.
• Experience working with students in classroom settings, including preschool or early childhood education environments.
• Familiarity with IEP development, speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy, and behavior management strategies.
