United Staff Group is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team and support students in achieving academic success. We are looking for individuals who are committed to creating inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive. This role involves close collaboration with administrators, general education staff, and families to ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualized instruction based on Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction using a variety of teaching strategies, including co-teaching models, technology integration, cooperative learning, and student-centered approaches.


Develop and continuously enhance lesson plans and instructional resources tailored to meet the diverse needs of special education students.


Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and supports academic and social growth.


Implement effective classroom management techniques that promote safety, structure, and learning for all students.


Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal assessments and use data to drive instructional decisions.


Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring the delivery of appropriate services and supports in collaboration with school teams.


Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and school policies.


Communicate proactively and consistently with families, school staff, and related service providers to support student success.


Qualifications:

Valid PA certification in Special Education PK- 8.
Experience working with the special education school age population preferred
Knowledge of Special Education principles, laws, assessment practices etc. as well as proven methods of maximizing the educational experience of students with special needs
Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
High level of personal organization and planning
Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments
Deep content area knowledge
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
Ability to utilize data to differentiate instruction
