Meeting Street is currently looking for a Special Education Teacher (Early Learning Center) for 40 hours per week.

Duties:
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the individual needs of students and consistently contain diverse content throughout the academic year
Plans and implements motivating and creative age-appropriate lessons and activities to address goals as outlined in each students’ IEP
Demonstrates concepts and strategies using visual models and representations, talk, and other
Assesses students on a regular basis and maintains data records on each student’s progress in order to be used to write/provide accurate progress reports and/or evaluations
Provides opportunities for individual and small group instruction that is purposeful and flexible to meet the needs of students
Co-teaches with general educator and identify opportunities to provide inclusive instruction
Collaborates in the planning, adapting and teaching of the curriculum for each student
Collaborates with therapists to implement an integrated educational/ therapeutic model
Meets all deadlines for IEP development and presentation, as well as progress reports and any additional documents and reports including educational testing including alternate assessments
