Special Education Teacher - #ESC9561

Summary:
The district is hiring multiple full-time Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year to serve students with IEPs in a variety of instructional settings (co-teaching, push-in, resource, and self-contained). Ideal candidates are licensed LBS1 educators who bring creativity, flexibility, and data-informed instruction to meet individual needs. This is a highly collaborative role involving regular communication with parents, related service providers, and school staff.

What You’ll Do:
• Plan and deliver instruction aligned to curriculum and IEP goals
• Modify and adapt lessons to support diverse learning styles and needs
• Provide services in multiple environments, including self-contained and inclusion settings
• Monitor student progress using formative and summative data
• Participate in IEP meetings, write measurable goals, and maintain compliance
• Communicate with families and collaborate across teaching teams and services

Experience You’ll Need:
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement
• Experience using Google Classroom or equivalent digital platforms
• Understanding of CCSS, differentiated instruction, and literacy/math best practices
• Skilled in data interpretation and instructional adjustment
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
