Special Education Teacher

Silver Lake High School is seeking a full time special education teacher.

Certification in Severe Disabilities is required

Duties include: supporting students with language learning disabilities in a general education setting or sub-separate setting, developing rigorous curriculum in ELA and Math that aligns with Mass Curriculum Frameworks, teaching social pragmatics, providing academic support within the DLC and within inclusive settings, co-teaching, chairing annual IEP meetings, writing IEPs, completing progress notes, communicating with caregivers and outside providers, proctoring exams, and other duties to be assigned by building administration.

This is a benefits eligible role and salary is based on experience and education as defined in the SLEA CBA.
