Special Education Teacher Grade 5 (26/27 School Year)

Dedicated Special Education Teacher/Learning Specialist with experience supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities through individualized instruction, accommodations, and curriculum modifications aligned with IEP goals. Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students successfully access the general education curriculum while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Knowledgeable in IDEA 2004 regulations and committed to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners. Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and benchmarks
Provide accommodations and curriculum modifications based on student needs
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, psychologists, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
Collect and analyze student progress data to support academic growth
Strong communication with parents
Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
Support students with evidence-based interventions
OG/Wilson trained or certified, or willing to pursue certification to provide structured literacy instruction and targeted reading interventions
Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
