Special Education Teacher- Grade 7-8

Position- Special Education Teacher- This position may work in within licensure that covers SLD, EBD, OHD, ASD positions.

Location- Horizon Middle School East Campus

Grades- 7-8

The Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.

• Identifies and prioritizes areas of the general education curriculum & accommodations for students needing specialized instruction.
• Administers assessment to support instruction
• Follows due process requirements

Education and Experience: 

Current Minnesota teaching license required in Special Education in the assigned area of responsibility and/or the ability to obtain.
