As a Special Education Teacher at Aaron School, you will play a key role in shaping a supportive, engaging, and individualized learning experience for students with diverse needs. You will help students build confidence, develop essential skills, and reach meaningful milestones in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Need
Master's degree in special education or a related field from an accredited institution
Active New York State Special Education teaching certification
Experience developing and managing individualized learning goals and objectives
Strong communication skills for engaging students, families, and staff
Collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
What You'll Do
Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned to curriculum goals and student needs
Develop and track individualized goals, adjusting instruction based on student progress
Collaborate with faculty and leadership to differentiate and implement curriculum effectively
Implement classroom management strategies and behavior support plans
Partner with families through regular communication to support student success
