    •   Lake Washington School District is looking for qualified high school Special Education Teacher candidates for positions in a Transition Center setting for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This general posting will be used to generate an applicant pool for these positions. As specific openings are identified, building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.

    The transition center program supports students that demonstrate cognitive impairments and adaptive behavior delays.  The program provides academic, vocational and behavioral support to students within a special education classroom and through support to general education teachers.

    Qualifications:
    Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.

    Salary:
    Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
