  • Iowa Teaching license- Required
  • Endorsement for Instructional Strategist II: ID (264) 
  • Certified to administer Iowa Alternative Assessments
  Experience
• • Experience working with students with diverse needs in a Level III classroom
  • Familiarity with alternative assessments and individualized education programs (IEPs).

• Skills

  • Strong understanding of differentiation and curriculum modification.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with parents, staff, and support teams.
  • Proficiency and timeliness in data collection and progress monitoring.

• Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with alternative assessment frameworks.
  • Administer and document alternative assessments.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Initiate and participate in collaboration with general education teachers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Support and facilitate extracurricular access for students assigned to your roster.
  • Foster a Level III educational environment that focuses on instructional strategies to enhance learning.
  • Support a system that is conducive to para-professional success. This includes strong communication with paraprofessionals assigned to your room.
