We have an immediate opening for a licensed Special Education Teacher for our GROW program.. Full-Time, 10-month position, with summer opportunities available.
Main Function: Provide instruction in a variety of subject areas for neurodiverse young adults ages 18-22.
Essential Job Functions:
•Provide instruction in a variety of subject areas
•Engage in data-driven instruction and meaningful assessment practices
•Adapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs of students
•Collaborate and communicate with other team members in addressing the needs of the whole child
•Use technology to support and facilitate meaningful learning experiences
Candidate Requirements:
•Massachusetts license in Special Education/Moderate Disabilities (grades 5-12) or eligibility for a waiver
•Related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred)
•Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction
•Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
•Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
•Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education
Other requirements:
• Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting
•Valid driver’s license
• CPR certification or ability to acquire it
• Legal authorization to work in the US
