      • Position Overview:

        The School is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Full-Time Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic and social-emotional success in an inclusive and supportive environment.

        Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Student Support:
        • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
        • Provide differentiated instruction in alignment with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
        • Utilize research-based strategies to support students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
        • Implement effective behavior management and social-emotional learning strategies.
      • Collaboration & Communication:
        • Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
        • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and related service providers to support student success.
        • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
      • Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
        • Conduct assessments to determine student learning needs and progress.
        • Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and accommodations.
        • Regularly review and adjust instructional strategies based on data-driven decision-making.
      • Compliance & Professionalism:
        • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
        • Maintain confidentiality and advocate for students with disabilities.
        • Stay current with best practices in special education through ongoing professional development.
      • Qualifications:
        • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
        • Licensure: Massachusetts DESE Certification in Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) required.
        • Experience: Prior experience working with elementary students in a special education setting preferred.
        • Skills:
          • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
          • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
          • Knowledge of inclusive practices, assistive technology, and IEP development.
      • Preferred Qualifications:
        • Experience with co-teaching and inclusion models.
        • Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
        • Training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and social-emotional learning frameworks.
      • Work Environment & Schedule:
        • Full-time position following the school calendar.
        • Based in an elementary school.
        • Engages with students, families, and a collaborative team of educators.
