Special Education Teacher (MSD) - Mt. Washington Elementary 2026-2027

Mt. Washington Elementary School (MWES) has an opening for a MSD Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates must hold certification for teaching students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities (MSD).

The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality instruction that supports the belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. This teacher will design and implement individualized instruction that addresses students’ academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs while supporting a variety of learning abilities.

Responsibilities include collaborating with general education teachers, instructional assistants, related service providers, and families to ensure students receive appropriate supports and access to the curriculum. The position also involves implementing IEP goals, progress monitoring, and creating a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes independence, engagement, and student growth.
