Arbor Associates is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other significant and complex learning needs. The ideal candidate will bring both expertise and compassion, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver dynamic, creative, and differentiated lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and grounded in the principles of Universal Design for Learning.
Apply strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support individual learning and behavior needs.
Provide appropriate accommodations and modifications to the general education curriculum, leveraging diverse instructional techniques, technology, and student IEP goals.
Foster a classroom culture of safety, respect, and belonging, promoting positive academic and social experiences.
Collaborate with general educators, specialists, administrators, and support staff to ensure holistic student growth.
Communicate consistently and proactively with families and caregivers, building strong partnerships in support of student success.
Write and implement IEPs, goals, objectives, and progress reports; lead annual meetings with professionalism and care.
Qualifications
Current Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate and/or Severe Disabilities and SEI endorsement.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other significant needs.
Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.
