CREC seeks a talented Special Education teacher for a position at Farmington Valley Diagnostic Centers, Summer Valley program.  Please apply to this position if you are a committed educator who is looking to work in a diverse school setting with a social justice mindset.

CREC's Farmington Valley Diagnostic Center offers Summer Valley 2026, a structured half-day summer program supporting students' academic, social, vocational, and independent living growth in a safe, engaging environment.  The program will operate from July 6, 2026 to July 31, 2026, with students arriving starting July 8.  Hours will be from 8:00 - 12:30 Monday through Friday.  

Summer Valley offers recreational activities that allow students to practice academic & social skills in real-world & community settings.  Summer Valley provides individualized academic instruction aligned with each student's IEP to reinforce skills & prevent summer regression.  Small-group instruction will be led by a licensed Social Worker focusing on communication, peer relationships, decision making, self-care, & independence.  Families & school districts will receive written academic and social progress summaries at program conclusion.  

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver educational curriculum and instructional activities to assess student performance.

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year College or university in Special Education.  Requires State certification.
