Salary range: $60,261 - $91,974 annually

Meeting Street is currently looking for Special Education Teacher for 40 hours per week.

Duties:
Plans and implements motivating and creative age-appropriate activities to address goals as outlined in each students’ IEP including vocational opportunities, community-based learning experiences, MA curriculum frameworks, and service-learning projects.
Collaborates with other teachers and therapists to implement an integrated educational/ therapeutic model.
Develops lesson plans, progress reports, and IEPs within specified timelines as directed.
When scheduled, performs MCAS alternate assessments.
Creates a learning environment where the students are stimulated and motivated to work to their best potential.
Designs and implements appropriate academic and social goals for all students.
Facilitates interactions among children that provide opportunities for emotional, social and cognitive growth.
Collaborates with other educators and specialists in the planning, adapting and teaching of curriculum for all learners and guides classroom staff in the implementations of goals.
Maintains data records on each student’s progress in order to write accurate evaluations and/or progress reports.
