Special Education Teacher | Full-Time | Farmington, ME | Preschool Program

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support preschool students in Farmington, Maine for the 2026-27 school year.

We are seeking passionate, collaborative educators who are committed to supporting some of Maine's youngest learners!

Position Overview

Special Education Teachers will provide individualized instruction and support to students in accordance with their IEPs. Teachers will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff to promote student success in inclusive and specialized settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and state standards

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements

• Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development

Qualifications

• Valid Maine Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education

• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
