Cross Country Education is seeking Credentialed and Aspiring Special Education Teachers with a passion for helping students achieve their full potential in the Broomall, PA area (Delaware County). Join our team this school year and start making a real impact today!

Position Overview:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students aged 5-21 with low-incidence disabilities, including those in Autistic Support, Life Skills Support, and Multiple Disabilities Support classrooms.
  • Manage and teach a small classroom size (average 8-10 students), collaborating closely with support staff, including Paraprofessional Classroom Assistants (PCAs).
  • Implement and adapt curriculum to meet the unique, complex needs of students with low-incidence disabilities.
  • Participate in required daily planning, which includes 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the student instructional day.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must possess or be actively pursuing a Pennsylvania Special Education Instructional Certificate (PK-12 preferred)
    • Prepared for an immediate start under a PDE Type 06 Permit (day-to-day sub) while actively transitioning to a PDE Type 04 Permit (Long-Term Substitute) and completing full Special Education Instructional Certification
