About the Role:

Learning Support Teacher

We are currently working in partnership with schools based in Sydney & Melbourne, which is a vibrant learning community dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where all students thrive. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are committed to providing tailored support to enhance their learning experiences. The school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our team starting Term 1 (January 2026). The ideal candidate will work closely with students who require additional support, collaborating with classroom teachers to implement effective strategies and interventions that cater to diverse learning needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification and registration with NESA or VIT (can apply from Canada)
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable, but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa in Australia
