The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a special education teaching position that is available at Christiansburg High School.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a current Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement in the area to which assigned
• Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
• Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
• Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and families
• Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual

Salary: $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience and prorated to start date
