Position Overview:
- Develop, implement, and lead the review process for comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students across the Elementary and Middle grade levels.
- Provide specialized, proactive, and differentiated instruction across core academic subjects, focusing on closing academic gaps and achieving student growth targets.
- Manage the classroom environment while providing targeted support for students' behavioral and social-emotional needs to foster independence and successful classroom engagement.
- Implement consistent progress monitoring and assessment cycles to track student performance, adapt curriculum strategies, and effectively communicate progress to parents and support teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field (Required)
- Valid New York State (NYS) Students with Disabilities Certification (Required)
- 1-3 years of experience in Special Education, preferably teaching K-8 students with disabilities
