This position is temporary from May 19, 2025 through June 13, 2025
The person in this position will work under the supervision of the district’s special programs director and the building principal and is responsible for teaching students in the Structured Learning Center. This person will be responsible for providing, designing and adapting instructional programs for the special educational needs of identified students in a variety of settings, as well as case management of student files. This individual must work cooperatively with other members of the staff to provide students with a well-planned, organized instructional program utilizing data and evidence-based practices. This person is also responsible for directing and training Instructional Assistants.
The Junction City School District awards full experience credit for teaching experience outside of the district and picks up the employees' share of Public Retirement System (PERS) contributions. Every licensed Special Educator receives an annual 6% stipend and SLC Teachers receive a retention bonus of $1,500 at the end of the first 3 years they are employed by the district. Beginning the 4th year, the District pays an annual stiped of 3% of their annual salary. Special Education Teachers have an additional three contract days added to their calendar that are not reflected in the salary range on the posting.
