Job Description
Position Overview
Seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher (Resource Room, .5 FTE) to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. The specific site will be determined based on enrollment and district needs. This position plays a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with staff and families to ensure student success.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct instruction and academic support to elementary students in a Resource Room setting.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support inclusive practices and student progress.
  • Use evidence-based instructional strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress monitoring data.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment that reflects district values of equity, fairness, and inclusion.

Qualifications
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License with appropriate Special Education endorsement required.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish.
