    About Cloquet Public Schools

Welcome to Cloquet Public Schools! We are a dynamic community serving over 2,500 students in northern Minnesota. Our vision, “Growing forward for our community, our schools, and our future” guides us as we work to provide a robust educational opportunity for each student we serve.

We offer a small-town feel combined with the amenities of larger districts, and we are recognized for our commitment to cultural inclusivity, high-quality education and a strong sense of community. Here you will find a welcoming, forward-thinking environment where you are empowered to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families. If you are passionate about education and community, we invite you to join our team!
CAAEP is an alternative high school of around 90-100 students.  We are a restorative practices program and work with students to build communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as building community through RP practices.

Alternative schools are a smaller setting for students who are "at risk" of not graduating from high school.  We work to build strong relationships between students and all staff, and with each other.  Because we are a smaller setting, we are able to meet students where they are and help them build skills academically and social-emotionally so they can find great success in high school and beyond.  We pride ourselves on creative and engaging lessons, and collaboration between teachers and subject matter.  It is our hope that applicants will come to us eager to try new things and engage with our students in meaningful ways that celebrate their academic success and prepare them for the future.
