QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
- Have at least two years of college (60 semester hours or 100 quarter hours or
- Earned an associate degree or
- Passed the State approved paraprofessional exam.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prompt and regular attendance.
- Assists media specialist with order and process new library resources.
- Prepares bulletin boards.
- Helps students locate appropriate library resources
- Assists media specialist with teaching students how to effectively use the library
- Assists media specialist with shelving books and other library materials.
- Sets up and runs multi-media equipment (i.e.: filmstrips, film projectors, video recorders or other audio-visual equipment.
- Secures books or other instructional materials from the school library under the direction of the media specialist.
- Assists in supervising pupils before, during, and after school
- Performs such other assignments and duties as assigned by the supervisor and Superintendent of Schools.
