Hours: 6.75 hours per day

Starting Pay:$17.99

Job Description:
Hastings Area Schools is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support at-risk students through the 31a program. This semester, a grant-funded position provides targeted academic and behavioral support to help students succeed in the classroom and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities Could Include:
● Work directly with at-risk students to support learning and engagement
● Assist classroom teachers with differentiated instruction and interventions
● Support positive behavior management and reinforce school expectations
● Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff
● Support small group or individual instruction as needed, assist with test reading
● Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that promote student success

Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent; some college or education coursework preferred
● Experience working with students in an academic or support role
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Duration: Semester (grant-funded)

Application Instructions:
Applicants will be assigned to a building based on district needs and must be willing to accept placement at any building. This position is guaranteed for one semester; continuation beyond that is dependent upon available funding.
