    Currently hiring Special Education Paraprofessional 

     

    Special Education Para Responsibilities include: 

     

     

     
    • Provide instructional and behavioral support and assistance to classroom teachers and students assigned to a team in a K-8 setting. 

    • Supervise students during recess, lunch, and sensory breaks.  

    • Record student progress on data sheets, goal sheets, and daily logs to assist the teacher and Behavior Coordinator.  

    • Assist with educational classroom needs and student behavior plans.  

    • Work collaboratively with a school-based team.

    Education: 

     
    • High School diploma or equivalent (Required), some college or AA degree desirable. 

    • Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certification 

     

    Experience: 

     
    • 1 year accepted experience working with children with autism or other special needs, 2 years (Preferred) 

    • Special education: 1 year (Preferred) 

    • Experience with social- communication classroom TEACH style program or structed- style room for children with autism and/ or special needs preferred. 

    • Must have strong verbal & written communication skills and communicate effectively with both families & staff. 

    • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team. 

    • Must have excellent organizational skills and a positive and energetic attitude. 

    • Ability to move around considerably.
