9-12 Special Education Teacher

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Olivet High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring their academic and social success in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a variety of academic subjects
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students with disabilities are fully included in the classroom
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEPs
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
- Attend and participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related activities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a high school setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
