Holten Richmond Middle School is Anticipated Special Education Teacher, Moderate This position reports to the Building Principal Position Type: Full-Time, School-Year Roles and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate student abilities and progress within mandated timelines using formal assessments
  • Plan lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of the students
  • Conduct/participate in IEP annual review, 3 year evaluations and initial evaluation meetings
  • Write IEPs (accommodations, modifications, goals, etc) in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Implement a variety of instructional strategies consistent with goals and objectives outlined in students’ IEPs.
  • Write progress reports for student IEPs.
  • Ensure compliance with all IEP components
  • Develop, collect and analyze data collection for progress monitoring
  • Case management for students on liaison list (including developing individualized student schedules (when appropriate)
  • Academic coordination and consultation with general education teachers
  • Within a variety of settings, provide teamed, small group or individualized instruction and/or academic support according to the general and specific goals outlined in students' individualized educational plans
  • Ability to communicate specifics of individualized programs to all staff and provide consultation/training of programs if necessary
  • Create a learning environment that is conducive to learning through consistent behavior management implementation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other team members
