Overview
Stellar Virtual is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented ARD Facilitator to expertly manage and coordinate the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process for our special education students in Texas. As a key member of our student support team, you will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations while fostering strong communication and collaboration among stakeholders. This is a fully remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of our students.

Essential Duties

  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate ARD meetings effectively within a virtual setting, utilizing various online communication platforms.
  • Coordinate closely with our remote testing diagnostician and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive understanding of individual student needs in a virtual context.
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure adherence to all special education compliance requirements within our virtual learning framework.
  • Stay up-to-date and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local special education regulations, particularly concerning annual ARDs and evaluations in a virtual environment.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain all ARD-related documentation accurately and efficiently within our digital systems.
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in various technology applications essential for virtual communication, collaboration, and documentation.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet all job responsibilities and deadlines within a remote work structure.
  • Maintain consistent punctuality for virtual meetings, appointments, and daily work tasks.
  • Meet all task completion deadlines established by supervisors within the virtual work environment.
  • Foster friendly, customer-driven virtual interactions with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and colleagues.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with remote colleagues and supervisors to achieve departmental and school-wide goals.
  • Maintain a positive and professional tone in all virtual communication (e.g., email, written, and verbal).
  • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned within the scope of the virtual environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • A minimum of 3 years of special education teaching experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of special education rules and regulations relevant to a virtual learning environment.
  • Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
  • Strong virtual team-building and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data effectively in a remote context.
  • Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
  • Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
  • Residency in the state of Texas is required.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. 
  • A valid Texas Special Education certificate without restrictions.
