Position Description: Under the direction of the Special Education Program Supervisor, the Assessment Special Education Teacher is responsible for facilitating and assisting with the successful completion and communication of special education initial evaluations and three year reevaluations. The Assessment Special Education Teacher would also be responsible for completing and communicating the Minnesota eligibility criteria for each disability area considered for every student that goes through evaluation. The evaluation process identifies the eligibility area and educational needs for students.
Qualifications: Minnesota Special Education Teacher Licensure. Special education teaching experience is preferred.

We are a 45 minute drive from Minneapolis and a great traffic-free drive from every direction. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles. Our buildings include an early childhood family center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and other non-traditional secondary programs. Our school district annually educates more than 4,100 students.
