Help the student athlete prepare for practice with clothing and meeting location
Communicate with coaches of any special considerations for the day
Communicate with coaches about absences, change to schedule, workout plan, etc (along with parents)
Help in connecting the student with other teammates so that they feel connected and
Accompany the student athlete to the team meeting and then to the specific training squad for the day (distance, sprints, jumps, etc.)
Help athlete transition between disciplines if needed and help student to their pick up point with a parent or guardian
If the student trains with the distance squad, the para will be able to run with the athlete when off campus and supervise fully during this time; if the training sessions are on the track, then the para can help with direction, safety and workout explanations
If the para travels with the student to a competition, then they will accompany the student for the entirety of the event and help at the start and finish line

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond professionally to questions from groups of parents, community members, commissions, colleagues and Board of Education.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract concrete variables. Ability to analyze and use data to supervise the delivery of instruction and the school improvement process.
Technology Skills: Proficient use of technology which includes: basic operations and concepts, word processing, spread sheets, internet usage, critical evaluation of information, data analysis, email, integration of technology.
Other Skills And Abilities: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in education. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to copy, coordinate, instruct, evaluate and negotiate. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. . Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift items weighing 50 pounds from floor level to an elevation of four feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
