JOB SUMMARY

As an Audit Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to our audit teams. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy will contribute to the successful execution of audit engagements, enabling our clients to maintain transparent and compliant financial reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist audit teams in preparing and organizing documentation, workpapers, and audit evidence for review and analysis
  • Collaborate with senior auditors to perform substantive testing, control testing, and other audit procedures
  • Compile financial data, transactions, and relevant information for audit analysis
  • Assist in performing analytical procedures to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues
  • Maintain accurate and organized audit documentation, ensuring it aligns with firm and regulatory standards
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and communications to clients
  • Utilize audit software and tools to input data, extract reports, and facilitate audit processes
  • Contribute to maintaining and updating electronic audit files
  • Assist audit teams in conducting research on accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices
  • Compile relevant information to support audit findings and recommendations
  • Liaise with audit team members to provide updates on progress, share insights, and address inquiries
  • Maintain open and effective communication within the audit team
     

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation and work prepared, highlighting any discrepancies for review by senior auditors

  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills in auditing and accounting

  • None

Work environment

  • Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time

Travel required

  • Travel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending on client’s needs

Required education and experience

  • Pursing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 0 – 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred education and experience

  • Actively working towards achieving CPA licensure or relevant certification, if not already attained
  • Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement
