Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – School-Based Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify behavioral needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide consultation and coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families.
  • Analyze behavioral data and modify intervention strategies based on student progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide behavioral recommendations.
  • Train school staff in evidence-based behavior management strategies and positive behavior supports.
  • Conduct classroom observations and develop individualized behavioral interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, district policies, and ethical standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Maintain timely documentation, reports, and data collection. 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Previous school-based BCBA experience is preferred.
  • Experience conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and participating in IEP meetings.
