Elementary Academic Support Paraprofessional

Summary of Duties

• Collaborate with the Early Reading Intervention (ERI) teaching staff and K-5 MTSS/Academic Specialist
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to support student progress in reading and mathematics
• Support reading and mathematics initiatives throughout the school
• Contribute in other ways as directed by school and district administration

Building Principal

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be trained or willing to train in Medical, CPI, CPR and First Aid.
• Must meet federal and state guidelines for paraprofessional qualifications.
• Must possess 2 years of experience with lower and upper elementary students or hold a degree in related field

Compensation

Per DESPA Contract – Class 11 – 06 position

Work Schedule

6.33 hours/day; per building administrator, following the district calendar
