We are looking for an elementary special education teacher with the motivation and dedication needed to help our students meet their potential.
Duties:
Your role as a Special Education Teacher will involve several responsibilities which will include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment.
- Employs multi-sensory teaching strategies and specialized instruction as needed based on student’s specific needs
- Implement all modifications and accommodations each student
- Create educational plans in collaboration with the student’s therapy team
- Conduct annual educational plans with parents as well as meetings requested in the year.
- Tracks student performance and progress and is responsible for continual improvement in student growth objectives
- Participate in school, departmental, and parent meetings
- Participate in school events, activities, and programs both during and outside of regular class instruction hours.
Requirements:
- A belief in every student’s limitless potential
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required (Official transcripts showing degree conferred are required prior to the starting date of employment)
- A minimum of two years of teaching in a special education self-contained or inclusive classroom
- A collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning
