  • A relationship-based model that values joy, structure, and inclusion

What You’ll Do

As the Elementary Special Education Teacher, you’ll lead a classroom of 6–8 neurodivergent students, helping them build early academic, functional, and social-emotional skills through hands-on, engaging instruction and predictable routines. You’ll work closely with specialists and families to ensure that each child’s individualized needs are supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate, differentiated instruction across core subject areas
  • Support foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and executive functioning skills

  • Lead the IEP process, including goal development, progress monitoring, and meetings
  • Collaborate closely with aides, therapists, and families
  • Celebrate student progress and encourage self-expression and confidence

What You Bring

  • A valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs or Moderate/Severe), or eligibility for intern status
  • Experience teaching neurodivergent students, particularly those with autism
  • A playful, warm, and grounded presence that supports regulation and connection
  • Skill in differentiated instruction, behavior supports, and visual teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
