ESL Paraprofessional (Pratt High/Liberty Middle School)

Summary:
The ESL Paraprofessional will work at Pratt High/Liberty Middle School to support the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. This is a full-time position split between Pratt High School and Liberty Middle School.

Responsibilities:
- Work with ESL students in small groups or one-on-one to provide additional support in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English
- Assist the ESL teacher in planning and implementing lessons and activities that meet the needs of ESL students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support ESL students in content areas
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
- Provide translation and interpretation services for students and families as needed
- Assist with testing and assessment of ESL students
- Attend meetings and professional development sessions related to ESL instruction

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in English and a little Spanish is helpful but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Must pass a background check and meet other district employment requirements
